.au Registry License Agreement awarded to Ireland-based Registry services provider, Afilias
July the first marked an unprecedented event whereby the largest transition in history of a domain name registrar; some 3.15 million .au domains, are to be transferred.
In April 2017 auDA announced it would conduct a competitive market exercise for the provisioning of Registry Services of the .au domain space, then in December 2017, auDA announced that the .au Registry License Agreement would be awarded to, Afilias, an Ireland-based Registry services provider.
